The weekend featured the annual Yeovil District Hospital abseil which has been going for many years now. It’s a great event and raises money for the hospital charity. Well done to everyone who took part; it’s a lot of fun and takes quite some courage too.

It’s another busy week in Parliament with important topics being worked on.

The Government has extended the £2 bus fare cap and protects vital services.
Additional funding will help passengers save money on fares and support vulnerable bus routes.

I am pleased to see the government has announced a new package for British farmers. 
 

The new owners of YTFC have the chance and responsibility to build a football club that can progress up the leagues, provide great football to follow and inspire youth football across our area.

Thanks to hard work and innovation from our front line staff, new figures show major improvements across long waits, urgent and emergency services, and cancer care. 

The Coronation weekend was a very special reminder that no country in the world does events like this as well as we do. I thought moments from Prince William were very touching and his speech about service and recognising doctors, teachers and others was excellent.

The delivery plan for recovering access to primary care has been published. 

It was fantastic to join pupils at Avishayes Primary School in taking part in a Be Internet Legends assembly and I wanted to share these free resources with you.

This is always a great time of year as our lush green landscape glistens in the sun and for 2023 we also have the Coronation celebrations. I hope they will bring lots of happiness as we get to spend a little more time with family and friends.
