It looks like the bad weather this week has already arrived with warnings of further snow and ice. Hopefully we’ll be through the worst by the weekend but do be extra careful driving and look out for those who may need a bit of extra help.

Good news this week as the Government announced they will extend their support of local bus networks. The Bus Recovery Grant, set up during the pandemic, is to run for an extra 3 months and funding will also be made available to support £2 fares for that time.
As many of us head towards the school half term, Westminster is host to a very busy week of weighty policy issues, some positive, many challenging and hotly debated.
Last weekend a small number of Extinction Rebellion activists staged a stunt outside my office in Yeovil. Similar things happened in other parts of the country as part of the ongoing campaign of lies to make people think MPs don't care about the environment and water quality in particular.
As we come out of the recent spell of challenging weather there are signs of good news elsewhere too. Wholesale fuel prices and the cost of energy are starting to fall and although it is not rapid progress, it should mean that bills do not get to the levels feared and continue to fall gently.
